B) Workshop Programme - £189
A student
who has a shorter time frame, or a travel deadline might be better suited
to the intensive workshops programme (practical teaching skills), which
is independently certificated. The intensive skills programme consists
of a series of workshops designed to extend the teaching abilities of
the student who hasn't enough time to do the distance learning programme,
or, has already completed the distance-learning programme and wishes
to further embed his/her knowledge. The weekend is devoted to learning
experiences, which often put the potential teachers 'in the shoes' of
their current mentors, and future clients. In this way the programme
is devoted to self-discovery, developing your sensitivity as a teacher
and creating in a 'hands on way' the kinds of lessons, which work well
and are internationally accepted

(We'll
send you the dates and location - once we have your e mail address)
The A.L.S.
TEFL Certificate can be used to help gain employment almost anywhere
in the world.
Past students
of Albany Language School have commented on our 'in depth programme',
our 'fair prices' and 'quality assignments' with professional back up.
How can I achieve the A.L.S. Certificate in the Teaching
of English as a foreign language?
You
do not need formal qualifications to apply, but once accepted you will
need to complete your assignments, which will be marked by members of
the teaching panel, all of who are experienced graduate, bilingual T.E.F.L.
or professional language practitioners.
The assignments will cover such topics as: -
Lesson
planning and course development • Interactive teaching skills
in reading,
writing, speaking and listening • Classroom management •
Student and Teacher
profiles • Background to English grammar • Confidence building
• Classroom materials, video, role playing and mime and eliciting
skills • Planning, production and presentation.
Your assignments
can be sent to A.L.S. via e-mail. In this respect you can start and
finish your T.E.F.L. programme from anywhere in the world. For people
who might live in very isolated locations, not serviced as yet by the
internet, we can run the Distance Programme (A) via the traditional
postal service, but its less secure and a lot slower.
Once you
have achieved the necessary standards in order to be awarded the A.L.S.
Certificate in the teaching of English as a Foreign Language, you will
be quite at liberty to place the letters 'Cert T.E.F.L.' after your
name.
